Founder and President
Ray focuses his practice on very sophisticated individuals and business people and the unique needs that surround their lives and families. He is passionate to create structures/strategies that help preserve family legacies – so that family wealth is preserved from generation to generation.
Born and reared in Fort Worth, Texas, Ray grew up in a Christian home where he learned to love and honor God and to love and respect people. He received his B.S. in math and physics from the University of Texas and earned the designations of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) in 1998 and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) in 2015.
Ray began assisting clients with investments and insurance solutions in 1984. Since that time, Granite Financial Group has grown exponentially. Ray's humble beginnings and desire to serve people with integrity has been a guiding factor in building GFG. He is the designer of The Wealth Significance® Process which was designed to help create "Inspired Living and Impactful Legacy" for families.
In 2017 Ray brought a new concept to the community, The Women's Wealthnasium®, which is a 9 month series of multi-hour sessions of "teaching truths and strategies to empower women for financial confidence". Women of all ages and all varied backgrounds attend these educational sessions. These are now occurring in city civic centers and for women only.
The staff at GFG has been selectively handpicked. It is Ray's belief that a "serving heart" is the most important ingredient in any staff person. For almost 30 years the firm has provided clients with the resources of a large corporation and the personalized service of a small firm. With the freedom and flexibility to offer clients vast investment advice and creative estate designs, each individual, family or corporation is given extensive analysis and an “Intellectualize and Personalized plan” is created to assist in reaching the goals and objectives.

Thank you for stopping by our website! I joined Granite Financial Group in 2000, coming from another local firm, and soon become an owner and partner. Having experienced some of the ways other firms conduct business, I was very excited to help build a company that has a reputation for unparalleled service and uncompromising quality.
I specialize in designing strategies and plans for the specific needs of retirees, and those still a few years away from retirement. I work with my clients to achieve their goals, like sustaining and growing their income in retirement, maintaining low taxes, and enjoying the lifestyle they've dreamed about. I firmly believe that a complete plan does not have to be a complex one - it should be simple and bring sufficiency to one’s life and lifestyle.
My wife Judy and I live in Keller and have three adult boys, and two grand-dogs! We enjoy cruising and traveling, cruising some more, spending time with family, cruising again, and being part of the local community. And of course, cruising!
I and everyone here at Granite Financial Group hope to meet you soon. And if you see us around town, come on over and say “HI” to a neighbor!
